Facebook app "like" sounds

Everyone thought I was crazy when I said my Facebook app was making sounds when I "liked" something. But here's the proof.

This is something that only happens periodically and I put it down to the Facebook trust engineers or another testing section in Facebook that rolls out massive market testing across big chunks of users. If they find this is something that works for them they'll probably roll it out further.

But why use sounds? I found that when there was a fun little sound reward from hitting like I was liking more content. So a benefit to adding a little sound effect could be higher interaction from users which is a massive benefit for Facebook (more engagement) with only a little input from them.

I couldn't find any other pages or sites online that mention this so it must be pretty new.

Stay tuned and keep your ears peeled.

Live been saying for ages that the south end of the strand Townsville has been ripe for the picking of something like this. Glad to see it being developed. #tsvshines

Paper 53: why not reward your early supporters?

I don't know how I feel about this. I was an early supporter of the paper app. I bought all the add ons, brushes and tools. And now, after spending all of that hard earned in-app cash they're giving these tools away for free to everyone.

Surely there's something they can offer to the early supporters to say thanks and value add. Otherwise it feels like we gave them money for nothing. I'd accept a discount on their pencil stylus, early access to a new feature or something else that's intangible and probably wouldn't cost them much but would foster a feeling of gratitude from us early adopters and supporters.

I had high loyalty to Paper by 53, but after this I don't feel like they value us.
