Creepy

I was going through an old second handshop the other day when u
stumbled across this scary bloody thing.

Look at it! You just know that it's totally possessed. And I'm sure
that I saw it's hand move. You just know that sometime in the past it
murdered it's master and probably some kids on summer camp.

Creeped the hell outta mr.

True fan

I saw this the other day at west end.

At the very top of this massive pine tree some crazy drunk has tied a
broncos flag.

Graduating

So it's official. I'm certified.

The graduation ceremony was nowhere as painfull ad I thoughtbit would
be. It was funny to see some of the graduates in mossimo t shirts, old
jeans and running shoes. Damn kids!

QUT has lots of international students but I never realized how many
until they started reading out names. There were some real gems.

So now I'm working on my resume and looking to the future...

Hangover burgers at albert park, melb

In a mad old school suburb getting a greasy hangover burger from a
tiny place called Andrews.

Its packed and super busy. We're told its a local institution. The air
is thick with onions on the grill. Mmmm

At a mad little rooftop bar in melb called the Brussels.

Inside is grassed and you sit on iron lounge furniture sipping punch.

iPhone stand

Here's my improvised iPhone stand (modeled with a palm). Perfect for
watching season one of code monkeys.

Note the jet star paper used. I'll never fly jet star again. Three
kids wrestling in the seats in front of us and a bogan painting her
nails in the seat behind us. Oh, then we flee into Avalon, omg its a
fucking shed in a sheep paddock.

Don't fly jetstar!

new search engine: cuil

why do startups try to out-do google?

there's a new kid on the block called "cuil" (pronounced 'cool'). they boast that they index more pages than google's search engine. so i checked it out.

i typed in the name of our label 'mistormissus' into google and got page after page of results back. then i typed it into cuil and was told that there are no pages refering to our label on the web.

and when you type 'cuil' into their search engine, it's never heard of itself.

fail. epic fail.

vintage jeans. really vintage.

This old pair of LEVI'S were found in a mine in the Rand Mining District, on the Mojave Desert,. California.  They are covered in candlewax from the candle's the miner was using to light the tunnel he was working in.

looking back

looking back at my blog posts when i was just about to give up full-time work and become a full-time student. like this one. or this one.

it's funny how i thought that i'd blog more when i had more time. the truth is, as always, that with more time i blog less.

the babaysitting job i talk about in the first post never materialised, but i've done some crazy things to pay the bills on minimum wage such as;
 - paid beer tester for a consumer research company
 - selling my paintings and photos
 - selling all my belongings on ebay
 - landscape labourer
 - medical drug trials
 - fruit shop pimp
 - freelance project management
 - ad model
 - temping
 - strip club barman

it's been a great journey, but i'm glad it's over. i have my graduation in august, and as soon as i get back from over seas i'll start looking to re-enter the workforce.
