Anzac day in the park

For the public holiday here on tuesday for ANZAC day we (along with another 2,500 people) decided to go to the local park, drink beer and have a bbq picnic.

while the sun was setting behind the city skyline we snapped a couple of shots in panorama and used a 'photo stitch' program to lash them together. it's a bloody good program that lets you convert those multiple panorama shots into one long shot.

this is my very first attempt at this and as you can see they're pretty crap, but all i can do is improve right.

(sassan i'm sure you've heard about this program before?)

(we got the little fella out of his chair and onto the grass)

(this is what it's supposed to look like when it's done properly)

These are bloody nice, Markoos—the sky in the first series is amazing. (Verification: yesnx, which was easier to type!)

What a gorgeous sunset! I'm a big fan of the panorama format. Here's a link to my favourite one yet (from a trip to Washington, D.C.), also made with PhotoStitch. Lots of fun.
