genealogy

it's amazing tracing your family history.

my fathers side came to australia as one of the first solicitors to the settlements to set up practice. we can trace our ancestry as far back as back  oliver cromwell.

as a kid we were always told of our family's (on our mother's side) castle in scotland. it's called the guthrie castle and apparently it's pretty well known. i (we) have no claim to it other than the fact that it was once owned by our descendants utnil one of the many uprisings in the area. but there is a cool statue of my great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great grandfather out the front.

Shouldn't that have been owned by your ancestors, not decendents?

I love Scotland. You should go visit your family's castle.
